BEFORE YOU START

If you already have a version of P5 (or PresSTORE) installed
please

1. save a copy of the entire "config" (or "conf") folder,
2. run the uninstall procedure from within the "Programs and Functions"
   for the exsiting P5 first, before installing this new version.
   Your configuration and indexes will thereby NOT be removed.



Installation Instructions for P5
--------------------------------

This distribution contains the following files:

        P5-64.msi - the setup of the P5 application
vc_redist.x64.exe - the VS2022 redestributable package

Please first check whether your system has all the pre-
requisites installed (see below).

To install P5, please run "P5-64.msi".


Prerequisites:
--------------
+ Your Windows must be up to date.

+ Visual Studio 2022 runtime environment
  contained in the file vc_redist.x64.exe

If unsure whether the required packages are already installed
on your system, please run vc_redist.x64.exe after updating your
system and before installing P5. This will tell you whether the
package is already installed.

You can always download the most current Microsoft runtime
components from Microsofts download site:
http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download


To install P5, run P5-64.msi
P5 will NOT check the prerequisites prior to installing.
The installation will fail if the prerequisites are missing.

Once P5 is installed you can reach the control center in
the browser via
http://127.0.0.1:8000/login
